About Dr Emily
Emily joined Adelaide Plains Veterinary Surgery in January 2017 after previously working with the team as a locum. I was drawn to the varied caseload, supportive staff, and progressive approach to patient care.
Raised on a cropping and livestock farm on the Yorke Peninsula, my passion for animals began early. I was actively involved with horses, competing at state level, and still return home regularly for family and farm time.
After completing a year of Animal Science at the University of Adelaide, I went on to study Veterinary Medicine at Murdoch University, graduating with Honours in 2010.
Emily’s career began in mixed country practice before locuming across Australia. I’ve also volunteered in spey/neuter programs in Tonga and Thailand, including teaching surgical skills in a Phuket animal shelter.
I have a special interest in dermatology, geriatric care, and surgery. You’ll often see my Border Collie cross, Georgina, keeping a close eye on clinic operations.
